Explain how cognitive strategies (like algorithm and/or confirmation bias) can either assist and hinder problem solving.  Include in your answer the definition of the strategy on which you choose to focus.  Then apply the information by summarizing a personal example when a cognitive strategy was used by you.  1) Define the strategy that assisted problem solving and write out an example of when you used this strategy to assist in a problem solving situation and 2) Define the hindering strategy and write out an example of when you used a strategy that hindered a problem solving situation.
